The official film site to promote the film “Tomorrow: When The War Began”, was launched today at www.twtwb.com.
Taking inspiration from the John Marsden novels and by working closely with the film makers, Tequila crafted an extremely detailed and accurate map of the fictional Wirrawee town, complete with housing, roads, rivers and bridges. The interactive map is the interface for the audience to explore and discover TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN content.
A full digital strategy was devised in conjunction with Paramount, their agency MEC Global and Tequila incorporating Facebook and Twitter activities that will drive fans to twtwb.com where exclusive video content will be regularly added throughout the campaign. The audience can also participate in competitions and enjoy free content A fun teaser site, wirrawee.com.au was also created and launched in June this year for fans to indulge themselves in the fictional town Wirrawee and to also uncover hidden content and a secret video message. This “Wirrawee Town” site can now be accessed through the official website www.twtwb.com
“Our goal was to engage the current fan base of the John Marsden novels and create a truly engaging interactive site that could feed their appetite for content and broaden our audience leading into the film’s release. Tequila understood our vision to interact, engage and create a site that fits with international standards”, said Cate Smith, Marketing Director Paramount Pictures Australia.
“Extending the narrative into the interactive space is really where we see the future of entertainment marketing. It’s a real privilege to work with like-minded people when working on projects like this,” said Russ Tucker, Tequila’s Creative Director.
