Theatrical Poster
The new theatrical poster for Tomorrow: When The War Began appeared the other day…
What do you think?
For those who may have missed the last post, an interview with Caitlin Stasey about her role as Ellie can been viewed here. At the moment the interview seems to be only viewable by Australians, but it should be viewable elsewhere for everyone soon.
Just made a post for the poster !!! I was wondering why I didn’t receive the alert from yours. You just posted as I did it.
This poster is just FABULOUS ! It’s bringing the hell out of me. It’s fantastic, I’m a HUGE fan of this poster and I want it. I want it on my WALL !
This poster is fantastic. It is very professional, I love it. I NEED it on my wall!
And thank you for posting this update, I hope we’ll all be able to see the interview!
The new poster is ok. I much prefer the first one though. This one seems very….’Hollywood’. Lots of fire and such….not so original, and somehow I don’t think the characters look quite right. The first poster is AWESOME though, I just hope we can buy it someplace closer to the release. Anybody know if this is the case?
I agree. There’s just something . . . odd about it. Maybe it’s the way the characters are all lined up . . .
Yes I agree with you both. The characters look so professional- older not the way I imagined while reading the book.
Looks very impressive.. Not sure about the the characters all in line behind Ellie, i think in the book they all have equal leadership or if anything its more Homer in charge.
Nope i don’t like this one, i agree it’s a bit odd. Liked the first one better.
The first poster was great- for anyone familiar with the book. We all knew what the shadow was on the ground and who the girl was in the photo and how important she is to the storyline. But if you haven’t read the books, you wouldn’t have a clue. So I believe the latest poster will appeal to a wider audience. It shows action in the background, a bunch of kids with guns etc- intriguing for someone who has no idea what the movie is about.
You don’t really need to appeal to us readers as we all love the book and are getting pretty impaitent waitng for September. We don’t need a poster to look at to make us want to see the movie. We’ll be there with bells on.
True, now that you put it that way, I agree. But I still think something dosen’t look quite right how all the characters are kind of in a V formation behind Ellie…
Do not like. So cliche. What’s with the gun and slick black outfits? It looks like a promo for a trashy tv drama.
If I could like this comment. I would.
kind of looks like x-men
but other than that I enjoy it.
I don’t mind it, i think its quite effective, and of course it’s going to look like ‘Hollywood’ style coz they are trying to generate interest and make it a blockbuster style. And since we get so many hollywood films out here, they know audiences will respond to this style.
I really don’t mind this one, except their feet, they look very photoshopped into the picture, like they are floating just above the ground that they’re meant to be walking on… and the black clothes are a part of the book, I’m pretty sure that in one of them Ellie says that they wear dark clothes for camouflage as an everyday thing and that she misses wearing colour. So the black is alright.
I agree with the cliche Hollywood opinion of this poster, and with the person that said that they like the old one better. But also, like mentioned, the first poster was appealling to anyone who’d read the books, but to any ‘outsiders’ not sure what they story is about it’s not very appealling and this one is.
I think the V is also so the characters can all be shown without it looking stupid. Imagine this poster but with all the characters lined up beside each other… that’d look a bit odd and too plain.
A thousand times better than the first one
I like it!
but all the actors look wierd,
like uness you TOLD me that was Caitlin Stasey in front, I would NEVER have guessed.
and it makes Robyn look a bit pudgy (no offence intended).
CANNOT WAIT to have this poster on my wall and CANNOT WAIT for September!!
it looks kinda cool. i love the images in the background.
it looks very “heroic” im not sure with the whole line up behind ellie, coz in the books, they didnt see themselves as heroes, they were just kids who were trying to survive and thats what i loved about the books/characters.
still looking forward to the movie though…
oh and the tagline thing
“where were you when things changed”
its alright, i dont hate it and i dont like it.
ive always loved the one about hell being the safest place
oooooooo they should’ve put that quote on there that was in Sarah’s trailer! “Hell isnt only a place for the damned, sometimes it’s a where the saved take refuge.”
OMG WHAT AN AMAAZING POSTER
I AM SO LOVING IT……………
i hope the oppertunity comes up to win one
it is fantastic
keep up the awesome job on the website, Nick
love it!
I’m its and your No.1 fan..
=D
yay, it’s not the best poster i have ever seen, but it will do! lol
what a disappointment..
That looks so kool! However the characters look more older than what I thought while reading!!!
looks kool
i wanna see it
looks douga
