The teaser trailer, which is 1 minute 23 seconds in length, premiered on thefix.ninemsn.com.au at 9 a.m. AEST on Wednesday, March 31 with an online exclusive window of 24 hours. It is now available widely online.
Since its debut, social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter and online fan communities of the “Tomorrow” series of novels have exploded with discussions, frame-by-frame breakdowns of the trailer – and much praise for the moviemakers.
An official TWTWB Facebook page has also debuted as of this morning. It features film stills, movie information and the teaser trailer. Fans can find the Facebook page by visiting www.TWTWB.com or alternatively the Facebook page directly and will enjoy regular film updates.
Lincoln Lewis, who stars in Tomorrow: When The War Began was interviewed online by TheFix personality Kylie Speer and also spent time answering as many questions as he could from users of Windows Live Messenger.
226 people added Lincoln to their Messenger client in the opening 15 minutes of the chat. Of that number, 204 went on to ask him a question about the film.
aamyy: Hi Lincoln! Could you please tell me if there will be a Sydney premiere for TWTWB, and when?! It would be sooooooooo good to go
I’m pretty darn excited for the release.
Lincoln: Hey aamyy… umm I’m not too sure I think there might be a Syd premiere… if there is I’m sure it will be put up on the net and stuff… You better be there!! Haha.
alice: How’s the movie going?
Lincoln: It was good , shooting has all wrapped and I’m just hanging out to see it!
Jessss: So my question is how much different is it working for a television series to a film?
Lincoln: It’s in a lot of ways the same but also in a lot of ways different. Like the speed everything gets shot and the size of the crew and magnitude of what’s being shot, like the explosions and the guns and all that which I never got to do on Home & Away.
??l??t?: Is this like really you ? When does your movie come out?
Lincoln: Sure is
It comes out September 2nd so keep an eye out.
Lil Chickii: What’s your movie about?
Lincoln: Watch the trailer and you’ll find out.
Amanda: hey Lincoln I’m a big fan. I watch Home & Away every day. I just want to know how long you have been wanting to be on Tomorrow: When the War Began?
Lincoln: To be honest ever since I read the books in year 9 I’ve wanted to do this project whether it be a TV series or a movie. So went nuts when I heard they were casting for this movie!
Selbbub: What is the best thing about working on a movie?
Lincoln: I guess working on a movie is the freedom to do stuff I couldn’t do for television… like all the stunts and explosions and gun fights etc. All that was hectic.
Em: Do you think the book or the movie of Tomorrow: When the War Began is better?
Lincoln: I loved the movie but as with any movie made from a book they can’t exactly put everything in. But it stays true to the book so I’m happy being a fan of the book and all.
sarahaimeee: Hey Lincoln, what was it like working with Phoebe Tonkin?
Lincoln: Phoebe is mad , I actually was always an extra on H20: Just Add Water so I always saw her but it was good!
not so excited: Is this your first movie you made and was it fun? Did you think any of the girls were pretty? I did.
Lincoln: Hahaha are you kidding… I thought they were all hot and top actresses. But yeah it was so much fun filming it… can’t wait to see it.
Lincoln: where abouts was most of the filming shot?
will the movie be released internationaly? if so, when is it likely to come out overseas?
when is the trailer for?
hahaha thats my question
i’m aamyy
heey there
Whats all this “For your viewing pleasure, an exclusive release to Tomorrow-Movies.com, a snapshot from Tomorrow: When The War Began” crap??
“exclusive release to Tomorrow-Movies.com”…yeah right. I was released all over the internet at the same time ya tool!
Please humour me with a link to the same photo with a verified date it was posted.
Only then will you be able to call the poster of this photo a ‘tool’.
Plus do not come here just to insult my friend who has put a lot of work into setting up this site as a reliable information source for Tomorrow fans.
Yes, in fact this is an exclusive full size image sent directly to tomorrow-movies.com from Paramount Pictures. You will find that this image is NOT included within the trailer. The scene, yes, the image, no.
Now.. while discussion is MOST welcome here, rudeness.. not so much.
Ah yes. I can tell it could be about two or three seconds after the scene is cut in the trailer. I have a good eye for those subtle difference sometimes but I probably wouldn’t have noticed since I wasn’t looking for it.
Does anyone know the US and/or International release date?? I need to make my plans ahead of time. And is it even being released in the US??
It will hopefully be released in the US.
No specific dat has yet been mentioned.
It will be released in the US however a date has not yet been released.
The Australian premier will be 2nd September, a world wide release shouldn’t be too far following. When we have more info we will let everyone know.
