Same… I agree to. I pictured Homer to be more bigger (muscle wise) and with shorter hair. But that’s just my opinion.

Yes, i imagined Homer being a very ‘big boy’. But i think they made a fairly good decision. I am a bit suprised of who they chose to be Lee. I definatly imagined him different!

But other than that the cast is great, except for Fi – isn’t she supposed to be a pretty little blonde??? haha
im much looking forward to the movie and this just makes me want to see it even more.. ellie does look different to how i imagined her but im liking homer lol

It will be very interesting to see how Catlin Stacey goes. I;m just not sure that she will do Ellie justice but only time will tell.

I have literally just found out that this is finally happening, I’m am so excited and can’t wait. I’m not sure how I feel about the actors yet, but at this point I’m just taking it all in and couldn’t wait to jump online to check everything out. I’m thrilled to because my husband doesn’t read books and for YEARS I’ve been begging him to read this series, but he just won’t….. At least now he’ll get to experience this brilliant series in one form. I’m sooooo excited!!!

they look like there wearing professional comando gear lol not like they are stranded after camping and realising their town has been taken over..
if you read the book again then you’ll notice after they find they have been invaded they visit each of their houses they stock up with new clothes, food etc etc.
Wouldn’t they be hot in those clothes in the middle of summer. I’m from the bush and in the Christmas Holdiays it is perfectly comfortable to wear shorts and t-shirts at night
I’d rather dive madly into the scrub away from a wave of bullets wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans, than wearing shorts and a shirt.
Might save some skin on the landing.

Hah this is awesome. I notice a lot of people are eating their words from the first view we got of Ellie – I seriously just want to see some footage.
As for the clothes, it was getting near the end of sumer when they were invaded so they fit well.

I imagained Homer to have that much hair. I agree with Jess, Ballzy and Rachel. Jess, I didn’t picture Homer like that. Ballzy, I guess it proberly will follow the story line, (if not I’m complaining), and I do think it will be bloody good! Rachel, when you say more bigger, I don’t mean more muscel wise, I think he should be big, (fat wise).

i just wish they had chosen some less famous people. i mean all i can think of when i see Ellie is gee she was good on neighbours. or he was great in home and away. you know. less famous people would have been better but i think they look good in this picture
Georgia you need to get away from the small screen ie soapies because that’s a real small narrow minded thing to think about “she/he was good on neighbours/home & away” .
Have you not realised already they have left both these shows to pursue other acting roles.
I wouldn’t be surprised if all 8 actors are heading to Hollywood next month esp Caitlin and Lincoln where nobody knows them thier former soapie character.
My thoughts exactly!!! If i were making the movie i would have picked less glamorous looking people, remembering that the characters were people from a amall country town.
Why does everyone keep saying that they should be less glamorous or not so good looking because they are from a small country town? I mean, never mind what the books say about the way they look, everyone seems more focused on the fact they aren’t from the city.. it just sounds like people are saying that country people can’t be good looking.

Wow! They actually look really good in character. I was worried at first, but I guess that is just because I have had such a clear picture of them in my mind for so long, and they look so different. But this actually has me getting a bit more excited! Here’s hoping for more good surprises
I am HUGE fan of the books!!!! I always imagined them to be made into a movie but i never thought it would actually happen!!! I am really excited and i think all of us extreme fans need to get everyone else exited about the movies too!!!!

I did and looks like she has blusher on. And the spots around the eyes is too clean. She also has not got a sctatch on her, i mean they have a had a really tuff time but skin all smoth not cuts scratches??

as you can see she doesn’t wear any blusher (it’s her natural skin tone) or mascara or eyeliner.
I hope they do a good job at making this film and not make it kid-ish or something else stupid because im really looking forward to this.

Like you i have pictured Ellie to be blonde until casting was decided and filming has completed so i have moved on from thinking Ellie is blonde so i think you should too.
I personally don’t think it matters what colour her hair is… It isn’t exactly specified in the book so therefore no “wrong” colour can be said of Caitlin’s hair during this movie.
Just a few words.
On the cover of The Ellie Chronicles – Circle of Flight, the girl has brown hair. I doubt Marsden would have had her hair colour if it wasn’t brown.
it doesnt say what colour hair ellie has…. only that fi is blonde…. the only colour we no that ellie doesnt have is black…….

Where could we see the trailer?
i think the only good people who fit the characters are fi, kevin and homer. the others are wayy to glamerous and shit to be on a rough country film. its all wrong but still it would be a good movie and ellie is wearing make up i looked at the close up and you can see the foundation, eyeliner and blush. they should have put a few brusies or scratches because if they are that far into the movie they would have been through a hell of a lot
The movie has been made. Cast finalised and all Tomorrow lovers are waiting with anticipation for a glimpse at the trailer. What my point is that although you’re entitled to an opinion, calling other cast members ‘shit’ is unnecessary and quite cruel. They all deserve an equal chance to prove themselves in the movie and if you disapprove of their acting, just stick to the books and if they make movies in the future, don’t see them. It’s just pointless bagging them out on roles you haven’t even seen in action.

It just says that it’s her favourite quote (which it is), not that she was the one to have originally said it.

My Brother is at film school and he saw a test screening of this last night, he said it does not disappoint. He was VERY amped over it
Amazing, reading the books for the 2nd time recently and after the twilight faze i thought i’d check to see about this book, soo happy they’re making a movie !! Casting doesn’t look flash hot tho… THESE PPL ARE WWAAAAYYYYYYYY TO OLD TO BE PLAYING THE FAMOUS FIVE !! >: | Too late now i guess, but could be worse… i just hope it doesn’t go all hollywood and mushy like twilight and ruin the essence of the books. Cannot wait !! Off to hell we go …. !!!!
In addition, one of the things i loved most about the books is the realism, especially when they go to Harvey’s Heroes and find all the women wearing make-up…. STOP contradicting the story by making these girls “camera-friendly” !! It already looks far too glamorous and “hollywood” for a couple of country kids… Just by this photo, get sum dirt on their face and bodies, sum cuts and bruises, and more frizzy hair !! u never know, it might make them look younger… haha..

Dude, I am so bloody excited for this movie. Personally, I reckon the casting is pretty good. Homer is actually Greek, Lee is actually Thai, Fi is, well, not blond, but they’ve made her so, so…*shrugs*
So excited. They look like they’ve stayed quite close to the story, actually. The only thing I’m worried about is the fact that in November the remake of Red Dawn is coming out. Really similar story line (in fact, similar enough that John must have gotten ideas from it) and yet set in…Michigan or something. I don’t know where. Point is, I really hope this will get the attention it deserves.
I too am concerned about Red Dawn release, especially since I live in the US. All of the actors in TWTWB are unknowns here. I am mostly concerned about who will be cast for Red Dawn. Being that the plots are similar and the books are not as popular here, and that Red Dawn is set in the US, I am afraid that TWTWB will not receive the audience it deserves.
I only saw Red Dawn on televison last weekend and it doesnt appeal as much as TWTWB as the plot is somewhat similar, but boring. I have my concerns about the popularity but TWTWB in my opinion serves a better purpose especially to the youth audience.
I didn’t think that I could see Caitlin Stacy as ‘Ellie’ but after seeing her in the trailer I think she will do a bloody good job!!!
