If the war really happened…
What would you do if the war of Tomorrow suddenly broke out around you?
This interesting topic was made a few years ago on the Tomorrow-Movies Forum and is still being discussed today.
Ok guys, just theoretically speaking, if a war similar to this was to break out, would you prefer to be in the showgrounds, and under less threat of death and mental torture, or in the position of the teenagers in the position of fighting back and risking killing, mental anguish, death and heart-breaking decisions?
Personally I’d much prefer to be in the teenagers position. I know it may sound bad, but I’m an adrenaline junkie, and would love their life in the fact that I’d be helping my family and friends whilst diminishing an evil and being able to walk free and think free. Your opinions?

I’m a coward, and would prefer to be at the showground. But, if I had gone camping and had no choice but to hide out in Hell, then I would do what I could to help my family.
I think I would rather be out of the Showgrounds although I would hate it, I would like to be able to help my family and become a real hero.
I would rather be out of the show grounds. I would kill myself inside the showground, not being able to do anything about this horrible situation, I need to fight!
I would probably be like Agent 47 from the Hitman games, kill a soldier take the uniform and sabotage things and make them look like accidents and dispose of any witnesses. As difficult and dangerous it may sound it is quite easy to slip in anywhere if you are wearing a good disguise. And I would probably do all of this solo, I don’t want to risk my friends lives.
If I had to kill I’ll have to do it without hesitation or regret. Hesitation is costly because I may never get another chance to strike, and regret is just as bad.
Like most i would love the chance to fight back like the group does but would we find the courage that Ellie and her friends do in the face of an evil unknown in real life?
i would def wanna b fighting, kick the arses of the guys who invaded my country
i would def. be a ellie person coz i am more like her than ANY of the other characters in the book
I wholeheartedly believe that it would depend on the personality, read number 5 or 6 look what happened to kevin , could happen to anyone
i would definately rather be in the teenagers position.
i would hate to be stuck in the showgrounds.
i am not the most coragious? person but i would definately rather have the chance to fight back than be cooped up in there… despite the fact that i would have to kill people.
I would say i’d be an Ellie person but to tell the truth if it came to that id proberly freak out and pull a Kevin.Guess ya never know what would happen till it happens.Lol
As much as Iabsolutely love this story we have to remember it is fiction…. and text. So it’s hard to get a real impression of waht it would be like.
All the same I would go for life on the outside.
I was born and bred in the bush and id be more comfortable out there (even in danger) than I would be in the showgrounds.
okay there woulld be no way in hell i would be able to be on the showgrounds im an angury person with a very short temper so i would much rather be out there fight for what was taken for my id want payback. i wouldnt be able to sit there and do nothing if i was goingt o die id rather go down fighting
well i feel the teenagers in this book, most are just like me and my friends, i would defiently want to be out and fighting, i couldnt take it in the showgrounds, im stubbon when it comes to things i believe in and love.
i sometimes even think of how it would be me and my friends running around doing what they do in the book.
my guy friend, me and him are like ellie and homer. its amazing how close some of the people in the book are to descriptions of us!
i would run and keep running.
I Would Go Crazy In The Show Grounds! The diseases and all the only good this about it is you get to be with your family
And being in the prison would be worse! But i would definitlly want to be free running around i might not be as brave as them so i would probabaly stay in hell
To Be hounest all u guys who said omg hell yeah i would wanna be free and blow up stuff and fight the enemy I think u guys wouldnt be able to do it Rember this is just a book and if it did happen i really believe some of you guys wouldnt be able to do even half the stuff u say. Sorry Guys
I would hate to be in the showgrounds especially because of the crowds and epidemic breakouts. Also because of seing people around your community die, get sick etc. Eg. In the books it metions Lee’s siblings had to watch his parents die.
I also don’t know what I would do without freedom. Like the fact that the teens get to rest when they are depressed, tired and/or metally or physically unable to go on. They can retreat to Hell for a week or so.
They are my thoughts…
Okay basically I would never let myself be stuck in a relatively small showground being controlled by other people. But for the people that said they would fight I don’t think anyone here has thought or at least mentioned the fact that they did, what, 10 attacks on the enemy? Which meant they spent a hell of a lot of time sitting around in hell, trying to get food to survive, walking everywhere they went, freezing inside their tents out in the cold and wet, and a whole lot of other stuff that would make you reconsider your choice. Sure I would take pride in defending my country and I personally would have no problem attacking the enemy (although it must be different when they are there because they all seem to feel guilty after an attack) but it is not just fighting they do out there. Killing people is much easier said than done..
Also just a question did anyone else get so infuriated at Major Harvey?? He peeved me off soo much…
He was major(ly) annoying! Hated him from the first moment. Just his attitude and actions. And then at the prison. He was just cruising for a bruising!
